Review
This album really is something special (hence my rating: 4 out of 5 stars) while sounding like it was from the seventies (production & mix up to date!) these guys are paying homage to: Yes/VDGG/Genesis & Cyan. Still they are not clones or copyists but merely serious musicians who have leanings in style and approach to the aforementioned. The music is excellent and well executed. Just take a look on the cover of this fine album..at first eyecast...it looks like an old Dutch painting, but on closer look...one can see that the painting reveals a gramophone and some records on the table...now look closely.
The four albums on the table are: YES: Going for the one / GENESIS: The Lamb lies down / VDGG: Still life / Cyan :Pictures from the other side. Nice little detail, dont you think? However this album and the musicians involved are quite brilliant. It’s fresh and kinda rewarding to listen to, especially if you are into those classic bands mentioned above...you will enjoy this fine record. Oh, and by the way, Rob Ryan (Cyan) is guesting here as well!!! GREAT STUFF...not to be ignored.
