Review
Despite the album title here :"Second Birth" it is their third album release! I am not sure as to what the album title refer, maybe the change of record company at that point? Either way, I think this is a brilliant album!! Yes I know, fellow record collectors and friends, have a certain fondness for their 2 first releases, so do I..but I quite like this one better!!

I guess it could be the fact that they changed personal along the way?! I really dont know but fact is..this album (and the following release) is more to my liking!!

"Morning Coming" the opening track has a certain Tull (that is Jethro of course) feel to it, but only briefly, suddenly they sound like Capability Brown (another great forgotten UK band) but as said, I find this version of Gravy Train more interesting than the former!!
After this release the even refined their musical language with the: "Staircase To The Day" album, also remastered by Esoteric and we will of course follow up with a review of this release! If I were to name fav. tracks here it would be, in no particular order: "September Morning News" / "Motorway" / "Strength Of A Dream" & the title track: "Second Birth" with its breaks and sudden signature changes.

In all an album that should be in your prog collection!!

The bonus track here, really doesnt serve this remastered edition well, its sort of a Status Quo tune and not one of the better at that! It is a bonus...yes, but who cares?!
